New Titleist drivers 910 D2 & D3

The Titleist 910 series has a thin titanium crown instead of the dcomp composite they used in the past.  The titanium is ultra thin and serves the same purpose as carbon lightening up the highest portions of the club head so more weight can be positioned toward the bottom for a lower center of gravity.  Adjustable weights will be available shortly after release via an aftermarket weight kit with 2,5,7,9, and 12g weights.  These weights can be changed by using the wrench provided with the 910 series metal woods.

The retail release of the Titleist 910D2 and 910D3 will be available in 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5 lofts.  TSG only has official Japanese specifications at this moment but it looks like some pretty amazing high end JDM shafts will be arriving like the Diamana ‘ahina 60 & 70(D3 only), Graphite Design DJ6 & DJ7 UST Attas T2, and stock Fujikura Motore shaft.

Titleist SureFit

The 910 D2 & D3 will both feature Titleist’s fitting adapter called “SureFit” allowing the golfer to use interchangeable shafts during fitting sessions which help the player find the optimal shaft for his or her game.  To take advantage of this you will have to visit a Titleist fitting works account.  ” Surefit” is a wrench based system and with a quick turn you can test a variety of different shafts.  It can get detailed at times but all the techno garble is the club technicians problem not yours.  In the end you get a print out and graph with the top selections based on your fitting results.

Golf buying time

It’s that time of the year when people start to look around for new golf equipment. I like to get a head start and get everytong sorted for the new season from golf bags to balls and clubs, waterproofs and electric golf trolleys.

One thing I always tend to forget is booking early with the popular competitions, the ones which always seem to be full by the time I remember.

A history of golf trolleys

A pull golf trolley was the original help to golfers in getting them round the course with there golf clubs.  Remember years back it was not only common to have less clubs in the bag but half sets or clubs were very common.  This meant instead of Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, an iron set of 3,4,5,6,7,8,9, Pitching Wedge, Sand Wedge and Putter. Golfers would carry a half set, usually consisting of 2# wood’s an iron set of 3, 5, 7, 9, and Sand Wedge or Pitching Wedge and Putter, around 7 or 8 clubs instead of the full set of 13 or 14 clubs.  With most golfers having many less than the full set of clubs in their golf bags, the bags were much lighter to carry and therefore there was not such an urgency to purchase a pull trolley.

The first golf trolleys had a narrow wheel breadth/tread, and at the time was not a problem but [Read more →]

New Sales Director

The ElectricGolfTrolley.net company based in Scotland, the home of golf, have brought in a new sales director.  Jim Mathieson BSc MCSE CeMAP has been at the forefront of establishing a new top product and approach to the business.

Jim’s first priority was to address the products on offer.  He was instrumental in the negotiations which brought top quality golf trolleys to the business.  His opinion was, “if a best quality product is sold at the right price, it generates its own sales”.  He wanted to source a top quality engineered golf trolley for the UK and some European markets, and where else to start but the leading quality engineering country - Germany.  The precision designed electric golf trolleys  are sold in Germany and have a great track record to [Read more →]

I found that a lesser known brand to be the best on the market

I found that a lesser known brand to be the best on the market.

Last year I purchased a Power Bug Trolley.

It was well priced at around £260.00 and has proven to be most reliable.

I have contacted the people at Powerbug to order some accessories and found them really helpful and pleasant to talk with.

This year my wife has bought the new digital model from powerbug for £260.00 and its fantastic!

I see lots of people are starting to use this brand and I have yet to hear a bad comment about it.
