Our new facelift Precision Golf Trolleys are due to be on sale from January 2010.  This model is an evolution from our very succesful Precision 18 and 36 models.

It incorporates the new angular design for increased strength and better looks.  Although we have had a very successful frame design we are always striving for a better top lead brand on the market, these electric golf trolleys we believe meet the demand of the modern golfer, for price reliability and top quality specifications and manufacture.

This is the time to practice and have golf lessons?

It’s that time of the year when golfers should reflect on this year’s ups and downs, and what lessons can be drawn also what we have learned, golf or otherwise.  For golf - are we getting the most enjoyment out of our games?  How can we enjoy our golf better?  Do we need to look at our swing?  Should we go for a professional check-up?

If you decide not to go for a professional ‘check-up’ lesson, then do yourself a favour, do the next best thing… [Read more →]

Cheap electric golf trolleys

Many people browse the internet for electric golf trolleys looking to pick up a bargain.  Although this may be possible in a few cases, buying any electric golf trolleys should consider why it is so cheap.  it may be possible it is an internet based company which can allow them to keep the ocsts to a minimum.  Buying cheap is OK but find out why the company selling the electric golf trolleys will not only be making much profit and have little staff and building service costs to maintain.  Many of these cheap trolley sellers are warehouse import companies who know little if anything about the products they are selling, their policy tends to be and some are proud of this ‘stack em high sell‘em cheap’  So ALWAYS go to a DEDICATED electric golf trolley seller whether internet based or not.

What you should do is check out the companies product range, if they are selling more than electric golf trolleys we would recommend avoiding them completely and look for a dedicated trolley seller.

First Golf Trolley Ideas

Golf trolleys home page

Our company was the first to inform the public that an electric golf trolley will improve your game.  It’s always nice to be at the forefront of ideas.  Since then many electric golf trolley companies have jumped onto our ‘improve your game’ campaign which took off nearly 5 years ago.  Of course many companies will think it was their own idea or it may have been some highly paid marketing executive picked up on it to produce as their own.  Anyhow, it’s good to see we are so innovative in our ideas that it is being copied.

A history of golf trolleys

A pull golf trolley was the original help to golfers in getting them round the course with there golf clubs.  Remember years back it was not only common to have less clubs in the bag but half sets or clubs were very common.  This meant instead of Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, an iron set of 3,4,5,6,7,8,9, Pitching Wedge, Sand Wedge and Putter. Golfers would carry a half set, usually consisting of 2# wood’s an iron set of 3, 5, 7, 9, and Sand Wedge or Pitching Wedge and Putter, around 7 or 8 clubs instead of the full set of 13 or 14 clubs.  With most golfers having many less than the full set of clubs in their golf bags, the bags were much lighter to carry and therefore there was not such an urgency to purchase a pull trolley.

The first golf trolleys had a narrow wheel breadth/tread, and at the time was not a problem but [Read more →]

Pull Golf Trolleys

What are the advantages and disadvantages of pull golf trolleys?

 Disadvantages of pull trolleys

  • They can cause discomfort to your back by the nature of the pulling action which twists the spine
  • On hilly courses they are sometimes more difficult to pull over carrying
  • You can not take on to prepared surfaces, or greens, teeing areas, etc.
  • They take as much room as most modern electric golf trolleys.
  • Going through some longer grass especially wet they can become very difficult to pull.

Motorised Golf Trolleys

Lately motorised golf trolleys have become more and more accepted in the younger aged market.  These powered trolleys were originally seen as a retirement purchase or similar is now frequently used by younger aged groups.

Lately the electric golf trolley consumer growth area has been for the 30 – 50 year old category who have put vanity behind them and the old hard man adage of ‘you’ve got to carry your clubs son’.  Not only this age group but even younger, down to youth and juniors have been getting converted.  They notice and realise if single figure handicap players are using golf trolleys, then [Read more →]

electric golf trolley will it make your game more pleasurable

Make your golf game more pleasurable by buying an electric golf trolley.  Once purchased, a golf trolley will benefit your game by allowing you to keep your concentration on the game without feeling exhausted.  When your energy levels are down it is often due to lack of energy due to dehydration or food levels.  If this is occurring more often then it would be advisable to get yourself fitter.

Having an electric golf trolley is fine, but try not to use it for every game. I would advice to carry the clubs when not playing a competition then use the electric golf trolley for the competition only.  This will adapt your body’s conditioning to expect a golf round to be more difficult, thus when playing with the golf trolley it becomes easier and therefore you last the whole round without a problem.

Well that’s my theory, hope it works for you.

New Sales Director

The ElectricGolfTrolley.net company based in Scotland, the home of golf, have brought in a new sales director.  Jim Mathieson BSc MCSE CeMAP has been at the forefront of establishing a new top product and approach to the business.

Jim’s first priority was to address the products on offer.  He was instrumental in the negotiations which brought top quality golf trolleys to the business.  His opinion was, “if a best quality product is sold at the right price, it generates its own sales”.  He wanted to source a top quality engineered golf trolley for the UK and some European markets, and where else to start but the leading quality engineering country - Germany.  The precision designed electric golf trolleys  are sold in Germany and have a great track record to [Read more →]
