The perfect golf swing?
Recently I had been going for lessons in golf as if trying to find the elusive answer to hitting better and more consistent. Why do so many people go down this route, when they don’t need to? Yes, there are times when you need someone to look at a basic consistent fault, or if just learning, but not getting swing analysed into submission.
Here are a few reasons; I believe some coaches and teachers are partly responsible for this type of progression? Not all coaches, but the advertisers and marketers are partly responsible all selling ideas or space for promotion. Obviously it is their income and job to promote the so called advantages of being coached.
These facts all play with our conscience and subconscious minds, gradually nagging away in the background. You finally succumb to the marketing hype of trying to find the ‘correct’ swing or secret ingredient they are promising which is suppose to help you improve or suddenly find this miracle way of playing. Sorry to disappoint but the answer is within you, the way you apply the teaching. A good coach should stop you going down this mechanical route. The best advice so far I have heard is to do with left and right of the brain. I had heard of one coach promoting that there was 93 parts to the golf swing. Just try to apply that method into normal walking.

Yes i agree with most of your article but just try telling that to Alex Howie, i don’t think he takes his golf serious enough.
