New Titleist drivers 910 D2 & D3

The Titleist 910 series has a thin titanium crown instead of the dcomp composite they used in the past.  The titanium is ultra thin and serves the same purpose as carbon lightening up the highest portions of the club head so more weight can be positioned toward the bottom for a lower center of gravity.  Adjustable weights will be available shortly after release via an aftermarket weight kit with 2,5,7,9, and 12g weights.  These weights can be changed by using the wrench provided with the 910 series metal woods.

The retail release of the Titleist 910D2 and 910D3 will be available in 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5 lofts.  TSG only has official Japanese specifications at this moment but it looks like some pretty amazing high end JDM shafts will be arriving like the Diamana ‘ahina 60 & 70(D3 only), Graphite Design DJ6 & DJ7 UST Attas T2, and stock Fujikura Motore shaft.

Titleist SureFit

The 910 D2 & D3 will both feature Titleist’s fitting adapter called “SureFit” allowing the golfer to use interchangeable shafts during fitting sessions which help the player find the optimal shaft for his or her game.  To take advantage of this you will have to visit a Titleist fitting works account.  ” Surefit” is a wrench based system and with a quick turn you can test a variety of different shafts.  It can get detailed at times but all the techno garble is the club technicians problem not yours.  In the end you get a print out and graph with the top selections based on your fitting results.

Golf trolleys and QUALITY!

QUALITY GOLF TROLLEYS

Firstly, you only get what you pay for! Could it be that some retailers are paying more for quality components and build.

Where should I buy a golf trolley?

Our advice is always buy from a dedicated Internet trolley dealer. This way you will gain by getting a better price. Take Precision Golf Trolleys normal RRP is between £279 and £319 . These RRP and shop prices reflect the need for the premises and staff costs/overheads. A dedicated golf trolley Internet retailer can reduce their overheads and therefore the end price to the customer. Electric Golf Trolley Network do have the expertise of golf trolleys and the workshop space for servicing, unlike all product supermarkets.

Golf buying time

It’s that time of the year when people start to look around for new golf equipment. I like to get a head start and get everytong sorted for the new season from golf bags to balls and clubs, waterproofs and electric golf trolleys.

One thing I always tend to forget is booking early with the popular competitions, the ones which always seem to be full by the time I remember.

Winter Golf

Playing golf in the winter used to look like the photo below. What has happened to the UK weather. I remember not long ago there was an article on the news talking about the Sun, reporting that it had an unprecedented length of NO activity and that low or no sun activity leads to cold winters. The report said that normally no activity lasts for a couple weeks but this had been nine months!  Do you think there is something in this?

How to JUDGE a chip and run

Many magazines and instruction articles talk about how to chip and run from just off the green using a system using various clubs.

The general view is use a different club depending on how far you want the ball to fly and by how much you want it to run.  This is measured by, lets take for instance a wedge; 50% of the distance needed by air (up to the landing area – the green surface) then 50% of the distance by run (on the green surface), so depending on how far you are from the edge of the green and how far on the pin is on the green.  The idea is to get the ball running as soon as possible on the green.

I was having trouble making use of this method, although I understood how it worked technically, the judgement I found difficult.  I could understand the principle but could not judge for every club the end distance, UNTIL… [Read more →]

This is the time to practice and have golf lessons?

It’s that time of the year when golfers should reflect on this year’s ups and downs, and what lessons can be drawn also what we have learned, golf or otherwise.  For golf - are we getting the most enjoyment out of our games?  How can we enjoy our golf better?  Do we need to look at our swing?  Should we go for a professional check-up?

If you decide not to go for a professional ‘check-up’ lesson, then do yourself a favour, do the next best thing… [Read more →]

Google Checkout Reviews by the Golf Trolley Network

We believe Google checkout the best, although a few downsides of Google Checkout.

  • They don’t support international payment forms. You cannot spend Euros to buy things with Google Checkout for example. This can mean the loss of some electric golf trolley customers if you don’t have another way for them to pay.
  • Another downfall is that Google Checkout is not available with eBay. Some customers may not like the idea of having to sign up for a service just so that they can checkout.

It should be noted here that overall the general population trusts the Google name and will not be too alarmed by this.  The great things about Google Checkout are

  • The customer is 100% protected and so are you if you accept Google Checkout payments.
  • Consumers should love Google Checkout because they have such great fraud protection.
  • They can also rest assured that their information will not be shown or shared with the merchant. This is the beauty of having a third party like Google Checkout handle things. You as the customer or the merchant have nothing to worry about!
  • This is a great option for those with or without a accounts.
